About Story Antique Clocks

FJ & RD Story Antique Clocks was established 33 years ago by Fred and Richard Story.

The business is owned by Richard Story and supplies clocks to private collectors and antique dealers in the United Kingdom, Europe, USA and many other parts of the world.

Fred Story began collecting antique clocks in 1958 when he purchased and restored his first longcase clock at the age of fourteen, this was the start of a life long passion for antique clocks. With his vast knowledge and expertise in the field of antique clocks the business of FJ and RD Story Antique Clocks was formed in 1990 and subsequently has been a leading specialist in quality antique longcase clocks, bracket clocks, Viennese wall clocks, marine chronometers and antique barometers.

This expertise is aided by a highly skilled and experienced team of antiquarian horologists and cabinet makers, working to the highest possible standards. All of our clock movements are restored by our horologist, who is a Fellow of the British Horological Institute (FBHI), having 35 years of full time professional engagement in the repair & restoration of clocks, watches, music boxes & barometers. He was the recipient of the 1977 Worshipful Company of Clockmakers Bronze Medal.

All of our clocks and barometers have been sympathetically restored and have been expertly vetted for originality and good working order. All longcase clocks, bracket clocks, wall clocks and barometers purchased from us are guaranteed for twelve months.

Delivery and installation of our longcase clocks is carried out free of charge within the U.K. For overseas customers a fully insured door to door service is provided by our regular couriers, please contact us for a specific quotation. All clocks are securely packed and comprehensive installation and maintenance instructions are included.
