A fine quality small sized French brass striking
four-glass mantel clock, circa 1890.
The high quality case with decorative mounts to the
angles and cornices, bevelled glasses to all sides,
pierced foliate engraved openwork mask to the front door
and sides.
The gilded Arabic chapter ring with conforming foliate
mount to recessed centre.
The fully restored spring driven twin barrel movement,
striking the hours on a blued steel gong. Stamped to the
backplate with Japy Freres Medallion and numbered 39703 AN
Paris.
Decorative twin jar sealed mercury compensated pendulum.
Blued steel hands.
This small sized high quality mantel clock is in fine
condition with the movement fully restored by our FBHI
and Worshipful Clockmakers Company awarded horologist.
