Overview

A fine quality ebonised  bracket clock by Collyer of London with the original verge escapement.

Case

The good quality bell top design ebonised case with silvered finials, escutcheons and handle. Glazed sides comprising a glazed arched opening beneath a circural glazed aperture, revealing the high quality brass plated twin fusee movement.

Glazed rear and front door, with the original steel locks.

The original thin Georgian glass to all the glazed apertures.

Dial

The breakarch silvered brass dial signed Collyer London to the dial centre, with strike silent to the arch and ringed calendar zone to the lower dial. The dial centre and corners with well executed floral engraving.

Movement

The high quality twin fusee movement of eight day duration, united by five knopped pillars, with the original verge escapement and striking the hours on a single bell, with strike silent facility and pull repeat. Profusely engraved to the backplate with high quality decoration.
