A fine quality French brass and champleve striking
four-glass mantel clock, circa 1890.
The high quality case with decorative champleve mounts to
the angles, bevelled glasses to all sides, opening front
and rear doors.
The porcelain dial with arabic chapter and floral swags,
signed Leroy a Paris. The dial centre with decorative
gilded and champleve decoration with a brass and champleve
outer bezel.
The fully restored spring driven twin barrel movement,
striking the hours on a blued steel gong. Stamped to the
backplate made in France and numbered 229946.
Decorative brass and champleve twin jar sealed mercury
compensated pendulum.
Ornate gilded brass hands.
This high quality mantel clock is in fine condition
with the movement fully restored by our FBHI and
Worshipful Clockmakers Company awarded horologist.
