recessed moulded panel, canted corners, mounted on a

The circular engraved silvered brass dial with outer
minute track and subsidiary dials for the hours and
seconds (Observatory dial layout) surrounded by a cast
brass sighting ring.
Signed to the dial centre for the jewellers shop Manning
& Sons Penarth, most probably of London manufacture
based on the overall quality.
The substantial fully restored movement of eight day
duration, with thick shaped plates united by four large
turned pillars. Fine 6 spoke wheelwork and high count
pinions throughout, Harrison’s maintaining power, jewelled
deadbeat escapement, with beat setting adjustment to the
backboard pendulum mount.
Polished brass cylindrical weight with ornate fretted and
spoked pulley.
Polished brass and steel frame pendulm with mercury
filled glass jar compensation. Finely turned and knurled
decorative brass nuts with engraved and calibrated rating
nut with blued steel pointers, silvered and engraved beat
scale.
Blued steel hands.
Overall a very fine and original clock of excellent
colour and pantination.
