A fine quality flame mahogany early Biedermeier Viennese
Regulator wall clock, circa 1850 in the earlier style five
light case design with an arched top. The beautifully
proportioned mahogany case inlaid throughout with
contrasting boxwood stringing.
The one piece enamelled dial with Roman numerals, signed
to the dial centre with makers names Josef Lorenz in Wien,
surrounded by an ornate gilded cast pie crust brass bezel.
The fully restored fine quality eight day duration
movement of the highest quality with deadbeat escapement
and slide beat adjustment.
Polished brass cased weight, with ornate spoked pulley,
polished brass bob pendulum (front and back) with polished
steel rod.
Finely fretted blued steel hands, of beetle and poker
design.
